Kit list for Mountain and Loch Adventure
- Water-proof jacket and trousers, fleece/jumpers, hat, gloves, scarf, a thermal baselayer can be useful year round
- Long trousers and sleeves - recommended to protect you from brambles and midge and tick bites (recommended)
- (In Scotland, May - Sept) - Insect repellent (non-deet) and midge headnet (strongly recommended)
- Cup
- Any medication you may need
- Hand sanitiser
- Toilet paper and any needed sanitary product + ziplock bag
- Small gas stove
- Cooking pot
- Cutlery
- Small tent suitable for mountains
- Roll mat
- Sleeping bag (with at least 3 or 4 season)
- Water bottle
- Sun screen
- Torch (preferably head torch) with spare batteries.
- Compass (if you already have one). We recommend a Silva Expedition 4 - if you are buying one. The instructor will have spare compasses to borrow if you don't have one.
- Whistle
- Phone
- Stop watch
- Dry bag/s to water-proof critical kit when in canoe and on hill
- Rucksack (at least 60 L recommended). You will need space for your food (provided)
- Extra snacks (high calorie)
- Small thermos (optional)
- Walking pole/s (highly recommended)
